This tutorial will show students how to draw a Valentine’s card by using only a few skinny markers. The edges of a heart-shaped pencil are created by filling it with parallel lines and then erasing them. The more lines added, the more distinct the shape becomes! It looks great with pretty drawing papers and skinny markers.
This Valentine’s card was drawn using a 2″ heart punch to make a template to trace, but students could always just fold a paper to make their own template too. Sometimes, the more intricate the design is, the better. “unperfect”Hearts have more personality “perfect” ones.
